Democratic Union party complains Shas party handing out amulets

The amulets are meant to aid those who have them, making them an unusual form of an election bribe.

Democratic Union party appealed to the Central Elections Committee on Tuesday after Shas party activists handed out amulets and prayer books to promote people to vote for the conservative religious party.
The cover of the prayers book handed out featured a photo of the late spiritual leader of Shas, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, looking at a rally with the caption "Father is watching us from above" and "Shas, your vote on the Day of Judgment."
