Mk Ilan Gilon (Meretz) demanded on Monday that an urgent hearing be convened to discuss a video showing soldiers in the Air Force standing in formation to spell out the word "Google," in honor of company executives who visited the Hatzerim Air Force Base in southern Israel.
He called the video an "illegitimate use of army manpower to promote commercial interests."
"This activity is inappropriate, also because of the connection between a commercial company and the IDF and also because of the fact that dozens of soldiers were forced to sit in the boiling sun while the video was being filmed," Gilon said.
