Barak: Israel will do everything to bring kidnapped soldiers home

Israel will do everything in order to bring captured IDF soldiers home, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Thursday.
"Freedom was given to those who are willing to defend it," Israel Radio quoted Barak as saying. "A country does not exist unless there are young people who are willing to defend it and sometimes pay a heavy price."
The defense minister, however, went on to quote the Mishna that says that "One does not redeem prisoners for a price that exceeds their value."
Barak was speaking to students at Shevah Mofet High School in Tel Aviv.
