Some twenty disabled people in wheelchairs accompanied by vehicles blocked the road into Jerusalem Monday night, underneath the city's Bridge of Strings. Police in the area were trying to disperse the demonstration and to direct drivers into alternative lanes. A spokesperson for the demonstrators said that they were protesting a break down in pension negotiations with the Welfare and Social Services Ministry which took place earlier in the day.
