Haifa: Police foil NIS 1.5 million cigarette smuggling attempt

Police in Haifa thwarted an attempt overnight Tuesday to smuggle into Israel a shipment of cigarettes worth an estimated NIS 1.5 million.
According to the report, the smugglers arrived at the Haifa port on a Georgian boat. The crew members were taken by police for questioning.
