Military police believe a soldier serving on an adjacent base assisted criminal elements to steal firearms from an IDF base near Kibbutz Hazor, Army Radio reported Tuesday morning. Dozens of firearms were stolen a week and a half ago including 41 M-16 assault rifles and seven grenade launchers. OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Naveh has ordered an investigation into the incident, to be headed by a colonel from the command.
