Israel and EU to announce upgrade in their relations

The EU and Israel will announce on Monday an upgrade in the relations between them, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The announcement would be made in a meeting in Luxembourg, attended by Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and EU foreign ministers. Israeli-EU relations are expected to be upgraded in three areas: Increased diplomatic cooperation; Israel's participation in European plans and agencies; and examination of possible Israeli integration into the European single market.
