A military spokesman said Sunday that Israel is increasing the number of trucks bearing badly needed supplies into the Gaza Strip as a truce with Hamas enters its fourth day.
Spokesman Gil Karie said around 90 trucks will enter Gaza through the Sufa crossing Sunday, up from a daily average of between 60 and 70 before the truce. He said further increases will be weighed if the quiet continues.
Hamas spokesman Ihab Hussein said that the increase is in keeping with the terms of the Egypt-brokered truce, and that goods include milk, fruits and vegetables and other food products.
