Kadima, Shas meeting ends without 'meaningful breakthrough'

A meeting between Kadim and Shas negotiating teams ended with no definite results, Army Radio reported Thursday evening. At the end of the meeting, David Glass, a member of the Shas team, said that no meaningful breakthrough had taken place. "Whilst there was definitely progress in clarifying different points, we didn't get the answer [we were looking for] with regards to child allowances. Nevertheless, contacts will continue," he said.
