Kadima holds 1st faction meeting, elects chairman

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's new party 'Kadima' convened at Sharon's office in Tel Aviv on Thursday for the first time since its inception earlier in the day. MK Ronnie Bar-On was appointed faction chairman and MK Majalli Whbee was chosen his deputy. The party headquarters were chosen to be established in Kibbutz Be'erot Yitzhak. The prime minister reportedly requested his party not address the conflicts currently happening in the Likud, saying that is the reason why they left their former party.
