Deputy Chief of General Staff Maj.-Gen. Moshe Kaplinski said on Tuesday that the IDF's current campaign did not intend to eliminate the Katyusha rockets within one day, rather, that it systematically targeted Hizbullah's infrastructure. Kaplinski, in an interview to Army Radio, defined as "optimistic" an assessment of a senior officer that the operations in Lebanon might end within a few days. Still, he said he did not believe it would last for months.
