Labor: Livni's statements on Gaza 'embarrassingly simplistic'

"Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's statements to the effect that Israel should fire back at those who fire at us are embarrassingly simplistic," the Labor party announced Sunday night after Livni said that "Every rocket fired from Gaza requires us to respond." "Sometimes Livni espouses a Lieberman-style transfer and shooting indiscriminately and sometimes she makes far-left statements," the Labor statement continued. "Under the circumstances we cannot but feel relief over the fact that Defense Minister Ehud Barak is more expert than anyone, serving as a responsible and restrained adult, who, contrary to Livni, refuses to act according to the dictates of PR advisers."
