Livni set to meet Kadima faction for first time as party leader

Newly crowned Kadima leader Tzipi Livni was scheduled to meet with her faction on Friday for the first time since her primary victory. Beforehand, Livni was set to hold talks with Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, her closest rival in the primary, but he informed her that he would not be attending the meeting. Mofaz announced Wednesday that he was "taking a break" from political life.
