MK Daniel Ben-Simon was unanimously elected on Wednesday as Labor faction chair.
Ben-Simon was originally against his party joining new Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's government; however he decided to abide by the decision of the Labor convention and voted in favor of it on Tuesday night.
"This is the time for appeasement and closeness … it's a challenge and I hope that I'll stand up to the task," Ben-Simon said during a meeting with party chairman Ehud Barak three days ago.
