The Tel Aviv District Court sentenced a 23-year old Holon resident on Wednesday to 8 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually harassing a 12-year-old boy.
Judges rejected pleas from the defense team, who argued that the 23-year-old's imprisonment would not lead to his rehabilitation, to admit him to a program of treatment for sex offenders.
Army radio reported that after examination of the Holon resident, doctors said that he was in a dire mental state.
