Official: Obama envoy Mitchell to come to Israel Wednesday

US President Barack Obama's special envoy to the Middle East is expected in Israel on Wednesday for talks on reviving Middle East peace negotiations, a Foreign Ministry official said Saturday.
The official said George J. Mitchell will meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and other officials, as well as the Palestinian Authority president and prime minister in the West Bank.
There has been no immediate confirmation from US officials. The official spoke Saturday on condition of anonymity because there has not yet been an official announcement from Washington.
