Olmert: Talks with Syria to be conducted seriously, not through the media

Negotiations between Israel and Syria will be conducted in earnest, and will not be played out through reports to the media, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday.
"Negotiations with Syria will not be conducted through the headlines of newspapers," Olmert said, adding that Israel "will conduct a thoroughly prepared negotiation process, based on an analysis of today's situation, and not based on what was ten years ago."
