Olmert calls Obama to congratulate him on election victory

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert spoke with US President-elect Barack Obama on Thursday night and congratulated him on his victory in the elections.
The two discussed relations between Israel and the US and emphasized the importance of maintaining and strengthening it, the Prime Minister's Office said.
Furthermore, Obama and Olmert spoke of advancing peace between Israel and the Palestinians while ensuring Israel's security.
