Labor Party Chairman Amir Peretz said on Thursday afternoon that there would be no changes to the party's Knesset list, thereby ending speculation that Ehud Barak would be added to the list.
Peretz associates also speculated that the chairman would not promise Barak a senior governmental position either.
Both Matan Vilnai and Binyamin Ben-Eliezer skipped the party meeting, though each claimed his absence was due to schedule conflicts.
