Police arrested eight men on Wednesday on suspicion that they broke into a number of businesses in the Dan region, stealing property worth hundreds of thousands of shekels. The robbers used a blowtorch to break open safes, as well as other contrived means to impair cellular communications, Army Radio reported. The police's Tel Aviv district's central unit was investigating the break-ins over the past few months in an undercover investigation, exposing the gang responsible for the theft of merchandise, gear, and jewelry. The remands of the suspects were extended on Wednesday.
