Demonstrators plan to throw shoes at an effigy of US President Barack Obama at a rally to be held outside the US Embassy in Tel Aviv at 7 p.m. on Monday.

The rally is titled “United Against Obama’s Brutality Towards Israel” and organizers they are protesting against Obama’s policies towards the West Bank settlements, policies they say are “undemocratic, anti-Semitic, and biased in favor of the Arabs,” according to the group’s Facebook page.
The group’s Facebook page adds “we shall make a model of the American
President Barak Obama that we shall throw shoes on [sic]. This symbolic
action shall reveal our message: Enough is enough, we will not let you
step on our sovereignty.”
Organizers say the demonstration will be attended by “hundreds of
passionate citizens, Zionist activists, Free Pollard organization
members, the Likud’s young generation forum, youth movements and
Ori Bar-Am, one of the protest’s organizers, said they wanted to show
that Obama’s agenda “is harming the rights of Jews in the land of
Israel, is anti-democratic, anti-America,” and asked “if Obama can be
against the burning of the Koran, how can he kick around the Bible?”
