Qatari NGO to send next ship bound for Gaza Strip

Two days after the Navy turned back a Libyan ship heading to the Gaza Strip to break the blockade of that Hamas-ruled territory, a Qatari NGO announced Wednesday it too will send a boat to Gaza. Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor, acknowledging the intensified efforts to send boats into Gaza, reiterated what Israel has said prior to each boat sailing for the coastal strip: Israel will judge each case on its own merits, and does not have a blanket policy of how to react to vessels trying to sail into Gaza. Since September three boats sponsored by the US-based Free Gaza organization were allowed in after setting sail from Cyprus, while the Libyan ship was turned away.
