A 20-year-old suspect from Jaljulya suspected of taking part in the beating death of Leonard Karp on Friday night returned Tuesday to the scene of the crime on the Tel Aviv promenade and reenacted the attack for police.
He is the third suspect who has agreed to carry out a reenactment of the assault, after another Jaljulya youth reenacted the attack on Monday, showing officers how he kicked Karp as he lay on the ground unconscious.
A 17-year-old female suspect from Petah Tikva, who is currently under house arrest, also reenacted the incident, though she is not thought to have actively taken part in the assault.
Also on Tuesday, a 19-year-old female soldier from Kfar Saba suspected of abetting the attack was released to house arrest for five days. The woman's lawyer, Nir Alpasa, said his client regretted her actions, and expressed hope that she would be able to return to IDF service.
Residents of Jaljulya sent a letter to Karp's family on Tuesday apologizing for the involvement of village youths in the attack, and vowed to engage in efforts to transmit a message of non-violence to youngsters.
