Weisglass: Most MKs support convergence plan

The Prime Minister's Senior Advisor Dov Weisglass assessed on Wednesday that the political map that emerged after Tuesday's elections had a clear majority supporting Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's convergence plan. In an Army Radio interview, he expressed his belief that there may be as many as 80 MKs who support the plan, at least to a certain degree. The convergence plan, according to Olmert, consisted of removing West Bank settlements and integrating them into Israel's final borders. If negotiations with the Palestinians fail, then the plan is to be executed unilaterally.
