Kaplan hospital ward opens

The new ward, Pnimit Daled, contains a quarantine room with its own entrance, designed to prevent the spread of influenza, as well as five more quarantine rooms with positive air pressure for patients exposed to serious infections.

A new ward has officially opened at Rehovot's Kaplan Hospital, and hospital management says the new facilities will "improve the quality of life of patients and their companions." The new ward, Pnimit Daled, contains a quarantine room with its own entrance, designed to prevent the spread of influenza, as well as five more quarantine rooms with positive air pressure for patients exposed to serious infections. Ward manager Dr. Tzvi Landau said that every room was equipped with its own bathroom, television and refrigerator, "just like a suite in a hotel." The rooms also have reclining chairs so that a companion can stay with a patient, and even Internet connection points.
