A nasty divorce case between a north Tel Aviv couple is plumbing new depths and inviting comparisons with the movie "War of the Roses," reports www.mynet.co.il. So far the feuding couple have involved lawyers, judges and even secret cameras in their struggle over the family home, and there is no telling what may happen next. According to the report, when the couple officially separated neither wanted to leave their large north Tel Aviv home, so they remained under the same roof but reportedly decided to embitter each other's lives. Initially each tried to get a restraining order issued against the other, leading a judge from the Court of Family Matters to try to find a solution by setting fixed times in which each of the couple could use the kitchen. The husband then installed secret cameras in the house to try to catch his wife in the kitchen at the wrong times, and after some time reportedly caught her out. But when the husband went to court to try to show his video evidence, the judge refused to view it, saying the cameras were an invasion of privacy. The judge also ordered the removal of the cameras from the house. The wife then issued an NIS 100,000 lawsuit against the husband, claiming she should be compensated for the "mental anguish" she had been caused by being filmed unknowingly and in her underwear. The next installment in the family feud saga is reportedly being eagerly awaited.
