(BATH)ROOM AT THE TOP
The luxury apartment block being built on Rav Kook Street appears to have a “Penthouse Toilet.” Will it be advertised as a “Loo with a View?”

NOBLESSE OBLIGE
Aviv Bar-Am’s interesting article “Following Nablus Road” (August 19) highlighted numerous off-the-beaten-tourist-track places. However, as a Zionist newspaper, why was the article not titled “Following Shechem Road”? After all, the name Nablus was only assigned by the Roman Titus in 72 CE as Flavia Neapolis but was actually Shechem, and we should be using Hebrew place names.

MAKING THEIR MARK
Having read numerous articles in In Jerusalem about the social justice protesters encamped in various locations in central Jerusalem, I am amazed at the lack of mention of how they have disfigured the city center. One can be sympathetic to their cause, but newspaper reports published should be totally neutral.
One only has to look at the graffiti recently carved on the seats in Menorah Garden (“Horse Park”) and the English graffiti sprayed on the hoardings protecting building works in Independence Park adjacent to King George Avenue to identify a total disrespect for public property.
In addition, what was the purpose of banners in English, which incidentally showed on the reverse that they were from previous Peace Now demonstrations against Jews living in Judea and Samaria? Were these for the foreign media to use as just another factor to bash and denigrate Israel? Before they leave their encampments, we should expect they will clean up the city center of their graffiti, banners and posters – or do they expect it to be paid for by the citizens of Jerusalem instead of their financial backers who have provided them with the resources to print these banners, posters and stickers in the first place?
