Some 4,000 people Friday took place in a funeral procession for a 66-year-old man mistakenly killed during an IDF arrest raid in the West Bank city of Hebron Thursday night, Palestinian news service Ma'an reported.

Top Fatah and Hamas officials participated in the event, on the heels of accusations thrown between the two groups blaming each other for the man's death and the circumstances surrounding it, according to the Ma'an report. Fatah, for its part, said in a statement that the six men targeted in the IDF arrest raid were only released from its custody after Hamas agreed to take responsibility for their security and "for their fate," according to the report.
Hamas accused the PA of being responsible for the arrests and for the death of Omar Kawasmeh, Ma'an reported.
The IDF spokesman expressed regret for the death of Omar Kawasmeh in a
statement Friday. It said that a quick investigation has been ordered
and that the results were expected next week.
Also on Friday, a protest took place in the Gaza stirp over Kawasme's
death, during which, Hamas official Ismail Radwan made a call "to
unleash the resistance to respond to [the death]," Ma'an reported.
