Baghdad: At least 16 killed in bus bombing

A bomb planted in a minibus exploded in eastern Baghdad on Monday, killing 16 people and wounding 20, police said. The bombing occurred shortly after midday in the predominantly Shi'ite neighborhood of Shaab, said police Lt. Ali Muhsin said. Sunni insurgents have routinely carried out such attacks against Shi'ite Muslims, in an apparent bid to incite sectarian violence that now rages across central sections of the country.
