Several gunmen from Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah Party fired in the air outside the Palestinian parliament building Thursday, security officials said.
One of the gunmen said the group protested outside parliament because it fears Fatah, defeated in Jan. 25 parliament elections, will be marginalized by the victorious Hamas movement.
Hamas controls a majority in parliament and is poised to form the next Palestinian government.
