Iraq: Suicide car bomb kills US soldier, wounds 18 others

The US military says a suicide car bomb has killed a soldier and wounded 18 others near an American patrol base in northern Iraq.
A brief statement from the military says two Iraqi contractors were also wounded in the blast Sunday in Tamim province.
The casualties' names were withheld until the families could be notified.
