Iraqi authorities say a bomb concealed in a pickup truck belonging to the Iraqi housing ministry has killed three employees and wounded three others.
Police and medics say the bomb went off Thursday morning in Baghdad's Shi'ite district of Sadr City. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity for security reasons.
Sadr City lies in eastern Baghdad and was the base of the Mahdi Army militia of anti-US cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. US and Iraqi forces routed Shi'ite militiamen in the area in the spring, though the district is not fully secure.
