The east Jerusalem-based newspaper Al Quds reported on Sunday that Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Palestinian Authority were working together to coalesce a new Arab peace initiative.
Arab League Secretary Amr Moussa plans to present the plan on Tuesday to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan at a meeting in Cairo, Israel Radio reported.
