Three men reported dead in southern Lebanese refugee camp fighting

Palestinian security officials say clashes have erupted in a refugee camp in south Lebanon after a terrorist was gunned down by unknown assailants. Two other people were also killed in the clashes. Issam Beqa'i, a member of the Jund al-Sham group which follows the extremist ideology of al-Qaida, was shot Monday as he sat in his father's clothes shop in the Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp. He died instantly and the gunman escaped, said officials from the main Palestinian Fatah group and other factions, all speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to give official statements. The officials said clashes erupted inside the camp following the shooting. There was no immediate word on further casualties.
