Hamas leader in Gaza Mahmoud Zahar stated on Monday that he believed the European Union would conduct talks with his movement within six months.
Still, he added, the Palestinians did not require European aid.
He told a German newspaper that the world does not need to fear Hamas, but reiterated his refusal to negotiate with Israel.
