One killed, over a dozen injured in weekend accidents

Multiple traffic accidents occurred throughout the country in the past two days.

A driver was killed Saturday when his car flipped over on Route 4 between the Yavneh interchange and Rishon Lezion – one of a series of traffic accidents to occur throughout the country in the past two days.
Magen David Adom declared the man’s death on site, and an investigation into the circumstances is underway.

Meanwhile, a transportation vehicle overturned in the Beit Hanina neighborhood of east Jerusalem and injured 11 people, Army Radio reported on Saturday.
In the Shfela region, three people were injured when two vehicles collided on Route 42 also on Saturday, early in the day. Two people were evacuated to a local hospital in serious condition, and another man was moderately injured.
The day before, four people were wounded in an afternoon car accident in the Ashdod area. A 42-year-old man was seriously hurt, while an eight-year- old girl and two adults in their 40s were moderately injured and brought to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot.
