Flag Football: Big Blue takes close ones over Cobras

Week 2 of the Moshiko men's contact league at Kraft Stadium didn't disappoint.

Week 2 of the Moshiko men's contact league at Kraft Stadium did not disappoint as hundreds fans cheered on the more than 50 teams participating in the Talk'n Save AFI flag football season this year. In Friday's action, Scott's Boys defeated the S&J Steelers 6-0 and 14-0, while Karelitz split their matchup with Lone Star, losing the first 12-6 and winning the second 12-7. In other Friday games, Text Away beat Zach Bouaziz 18-0 and 13-6, Pallorium beat HODS 13-8 and 12-0 and AH Schrieber beat Personal Touch 33-7 and 12-8. Saturday night's games were highlighted by an always-heated rivalry between Big Blue and the Ner Jake Cobras. While the packed crowd was clearly in the corner of the Cobras, Big Blue won both games in nail-biting fashion 13-8 and 7-6 behind the stellar play of quarterback Kenny Zwiebel and receiver Dvir Weinberg. In other Saturday night games, Pizzeria Efrat and Derech Etz Chaim split their games, with Derech Etz Chaim winning the first game 12-7 and Pizzeria Efrat winning the second 13-7.
