Vladimirs Kolesnichenko scored a late equalizer Wednesday to help Latvia salvage a 1-1 draw against Israel in a World Cup qualifier.

Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun had put Israel ahead in the 50th, and the visitors had looked set to grab the lead in Group 2.
