Several senior Russian officers have been assassinated since the start of the war in Ukraine, with Moscow blaming the attacks on Kyiv.

The killing on Tuesday night marks the third fatal shooting in less than 48 hours. Critics argue the crime wave has worsened since Itamar Ben-Gvir became National Security Minister in 2022.

According to police, an undercover investigation into alleged diversion of wartime donations led to searches at homes and offices and to the detainees being taken for questioning.

As citizens of the country, they need the government to treat this epidemic with full force and commitment that it would devote to a spate of violent crime and murder in any other area of Israel
