El Al Israel Airlines and Delta Airlines have extended their code share agreement to include the Tel Aviv-Atlanta route which Delta is scheduled to start operating at the end of March. El Al operates 30 direct flights per week to the US and has had a code share agreement with Delta on its its US routes and connections.
In flying direct from Atlanta, Delta marks its return to Israel after stopping operations in 2001 with the outbreak of the Intifada.
