Second death from Jerusalem light rail attack as hurt teen succumbs to wounds

A 17-year-old who was critically injured in a terror attack at the Jerusalem light rail this week succumbed to his wounds on Friday, raising the death toll from the attack to two, Hadassah University Medical Center said. Shalom Aharon Baadani will be laid to rest Friday at Jerusalem's Givat Shaul cemetery. A second Israeli was still in serious condition, the hospital added. A car slammed into pedestrians in the capital on Wednesday, killing Border Police officer Jidan Assad, 38, and injuries 14 others, three of them seriously. After crashing the car, the driver emerged from the vehicle with a metal crowbar and began attacking people nearby. The terrorist, identified as a 38 year old, Shuafat resident, was shot and killed by security forces. As for the soldiers injured southwest of Bethlehem in what security officials are now calling a hit and run, Hadassah said one was stable, another was in moderate condition after undergoing surgery; and a third soldier was still in ICU after his condition worsened on Friday.
