Tehran denies reports that Israel attacked Iranian targets in Syria
The Foreign Ministry's statement came in response to the claims made by several Israeli officials that they successfully attacked hundreds of Iranian targets in Syria.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied on Monday that Israel attacked Iranian targets in Syria, according to Walla News.The Foreign Ministry's statement came in response to the announcements by several Israeli officials that they successfully attacked hundreds of Iranian targets in Syria."The Israeli claims of attacking 200 Iranian targets in Syria are false and baseless reports, that is an Israeli attempt to conceal their ongoing failures in the area," Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi claimed.Qasemi also said that Israeli always "spread lies to achieve their ends," and declared that "Iran has no military presence in Syria."On Sunday morning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took responsibility for Saturday’s air strikes against Iranian arms warehouses at the Damascus International Airport.Netanyahu also said at a farewell gathering to the outgoing IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot that "[Israel] attacked hundreds of times in Syria to protect [Israel's] national security."
