Victim in serious condition after Gush Etzion ramming

IDF raids Halhoul home of terrorist following attack near Efrat • Second victim lightly wounded.

Terrorist victim Even Ezer Holaring, 35, remained in serious condition on Saturday night after he was wounded in an attack at the Gush Etzion junction on Friday morning.
His wife, Miriam, has urged the public to pray for his recovery.
Both Holaring and the second victim, David Ramati, 70, who was lightly wounded, are from the Kiryat Arba settlement.
On Friday morning, Palestinian Izz al-Din Ali Abu Rmeishan Karajeh, 17, ran over Ramati near the Efrat settlement, wounding him in the head.
He then drove to the Gush Etzion junction, where he ran over Holaring. Karajeh then stopped the car and got out, holding a knife in his hand.
One of the soldiers at the junction saw the knife and shot the terrorist, seriously wounding him.
Both Holaring and Karajeh were treated at Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem and Ramati was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
The IDF then raided Karajeh’s home in Halhoul, searching for weapons. The Civil Administration has rescinded his family’s work permits.
Holaring immigrated to Israel from India. He is a father of five and a member of the Bnei Menashe community in Kiryat Arba.
Ramati, who also holds US citizenship and is a Vietnam veteran, tweeted the following on Saturday night: “Release hospital tomorrow three broken segment lower back broken ribs ten staples in head.”
He also wrote on Facebook: “President [Donald] Trump sent me a message via the US Consulate: ‘Thank you for your service in Vietnam and wishing you a complete and speedy recovery.’ Thank you President Trump.”
A demonstration against the terrorist attack that took place near Kiryat Arba on Saturday night turned violent, as the Jewish protesters tried to block a road and clashed with police, according to a police spokeswoman.
The police detained two protesters, one for attacking an officer and another for failing to obey an officer. A third protester was arrested on suspicion of attacking a Palestinian, the spokeswoman said.
