A CELEBRITY'S misplaced cell phone can be a big source of trouble, especially when it contains the phone numbers of a number of other famous entertainers. Whoever recently found or stole the cell phone of actress Gilat Ankori, who lost the phone at the Ramat Aviv Mall, now has access to the numbers of dozens of actors, singers, producers and directors. It's a potential treasure trove for anyone who realizes its value. Ankori, for her part, is presumably now busy tipping off famous friends about not answering calls coming from her old phone. SPEAKING OF Ankori, the actress has just joined the line-up on The Power, a new Channel 10 reality show about mystics and mysticism. Joining Ankori as judges on the show are Natan Zahavi, Shai Goldstein and Itzik Zohar. IT MUST be in the genes. Shira Shalom, best known in some circles as the daughter of broadcast personality Judy Shalom Nir-Mozes and former Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, has joined the junior reporters' team of Y at 10. She won't be the first journalist in her family - her great-grandfather, for starters, was Yehuda Mozes, the second owner of Yediot Aharonot. His son, Noah Mozes, served as the paper's long-time managing editor, and his daughter, Shira's mother, used to write for Yediot before she began hosting her own radio and TV programs. On the other side of the family, Shira Shalom's father wrote for the now-defunct Hadashot tabloid before embarking on his political career. FOR AS long as anyone can remember, there's been talk of reducing the payroll at the Israel Broadcasting Authority. Current IBA director-general Moti Sklar didn't make any major changes right after replacing Yosef Barel, but he's now making up for lost time. It's been announced that Moti Eden has been relieved of his position as head of Israel Television, with Sklar set to hold down the fort until a new chief is found. Yossi Meshulam, the veteran programs director at Channel One, has announced his intention to quit television, and the person most likely to succeed him - at least on a temporary basis - is Uri Levi, who currently heads ITV's news department. One of the IBA's few long-term veterans is Haim Yavin, who at 74 has been with Israel Television since its first broadcast in 1968. By the standards of the IBA, Yavin is the personification of the Tennyson line: "For men may come and men may go, but I go on forever." IT'S AMAZING what a difference a change in hair color can make, which probably explains why so many people - both male and female - spend so much time and money at hair salons. The results are sometimes astonishing, and can help to create a whole new persona. The effects of one new head of dark hair have yet to be seen for actress Yael-Bar Zohar, who's currently rehearsing for her part in an upcoming staging of Beauty and the Beast. We're so used to seeing YBZ's blonde tresses that it's a shock to discover what she looks like as a brunette.
