As the weather cools, the winds pick up and the leaves begin to change color, the Old City is filling up with music, wine, excitement, and a hint of mystery. On Monday and Thursday nights this September and October, don't miss the electrifying Autumn in the Old City event, taking place through the alleyways and around the corners within its walls.
Storytelling tours are full of history, music concerts from and food to provide flavors, scents and sounds, with musical themes

Storytelling
The stories floating within the Old City walls waver between the mythical and authentic, their boundaries blurred by a few thousand years of retelling. Old Wives' Tales will come alive as actors from the Jerusalem Psik Theater lead visitors through stone corridors and weave mischievous legends, including the tale of Thomas Moreau, the British noble who vanished in the Christian quarter… with his family's treasure.
Music
The walls of the old city have been razed and rebuilt countless times. When the Israelites arrived to Jerusalem after drifting in the wilderness for 40 years, they arrived at the walls, unable to enter. Only on the seventh day, after seven orbits around the stones, did the walls crumble. Follow an acapella group as they walk along the Old City promenade, and cross your fingers that, as their performance ends, the walls are still standing. Also enjoy international music concerts ranging from Scottish to Ethiopian, and Dixieland to Klezmer at the end of your tour.
Winemaking
Jewish tradition uses wine as a vehicle for spiritual growth. At this joyful event, participate in a wine tasting experience and a narrative of Jerusalem's fine wines, many of which come from the Judean Hills surrounding the city. Israeli wine culture has developed significantly since Rothschild purchased his first estate. Allow the spirit of the evening and the burgundy in your glass to open your imagination and taste buds.
