BRUNCH Topolino is one of those restaurants where everything is tasty. After trying out various lunch options, a return trip was in order to see how breakfast fared. I had the berries ravioli (pictured) while my dining partners had the Jacko salad with sweet potato and green beans (NIS 42) and the Topolino breakfast (NIS 44) respectively. Everything was delicious; the salad was fresh, the pasta was al dente, and the breakfast had a nice variety of white cheeses to go with the eggs and salad. Sun. - Thurs., 8 - 12 midnight; Fri. 8-3. Kosher. Agrippas 62, Jerusalem (02) 622-3466 LUNCH If you prefer to eat a meat meal for lunch, try Azura. It is nestled in what is colloquially known as the Iraqi shuk. Do not be afraid to share a table with a stranger as you are there for the food, not the company per se. Ask the host what he recommends for that day as there are specials. Their kube soup is divine and only NIS 28. Pita, pickles and onion come with your meal for you to whet your appetite, as if you need it. Sun. - Thurs., 9- 4; Fri., 8:30 - 2 hours before Shabbat. Kosher. Iraqi Shuk, Machane Yehuda 8 and HaEshkol 4 (in the courtyard) SUPPER Catch an early evening vegetarian meal at Ichikidana. Indian thali plates reasonably priced at NIS 30-52 are as varied as you'd like complete with daal, a dollop of yogurt, and richly flavored chutneys. You can finish up your meal (or give it a pleasant start) with a small chai masala tea. If you don't have the time to sit and enjoy, opt for take away with a full container at just NIS 30. Best to provide your own plastic bag as we are all doing our part to save the planet. Sun. to Thurs. from 12 - 8, Fri. 8 - till one hour before Shabbat. Kosher. HaEshkol 4, Machane Yehuda (050) 224-7070
