The Content of One's Character

Nothing in politics is accidental. Thus when Black Lives Matter protests Donald Trump’s nomination by engaging in as much physical violence as “peaceful demonstrators” can get away with, disrupting traffic, deliberately insulting, harassing and provoking police officers, they have an end game in mind.
Setting the stage for another cop-killing sniper and messing up Cleveland for hosting the Republican National Convention are but a prelude, a training session for the November general election. Those who believe they will be able to cast their ballot with no fear may be in for an eye-opening surprise.
In 2008, uniformed New Black Panther Party members, including one Minister King Samir Shabazz, armed with billy clubs, threatened and harassed white voters at a Philadelphia polling place (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neGbKHyGuHU). Obama Justice Department officials overruled their own investigators’ recommendations and determined not to hold the thugs responsible.
The Department of Justice effectively has become the Department of Social Justice. If one is black, one now has federal approval to intimidate voters, as long as the target is white (http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2013/06/black-panther-boss-who-got-off-for-voter-intimidation-arrested/). This lesson has not gone unnoticed.
Under the Obama regime, weaned of an even-handed and constitutional law-and-order mind-set, local police have undergone dramatic and debilitating changes. Subject to demoralizing racial “sensitivity” training, being taught that to be born black is to be born a victim and to be born white is to be born a racist, enforcers of the law, keepers of the peace, now must view every situation through a color-coded lens. In some, one may get fired for arresting a resisting suspect if the suspect is not white.
Obama insured this politically correct perversion when, early in his reign and without any evidence, he used the bully pulpit to malign officers arresting a black professor as “stupid”. Doing one’s job properly, often at the risk of one’s life, is now no excuse for professional behavior, if it involves folks who don’t happen to be white.
How far has America fallen from Martin Luther King’s ideal color-blind society, in which what matters is the content of one’s character rather than the color of one’s skin? In America one may now see only color. Failure to do so may lead to disciplinary action, dismissal, or worse. Character? What’s that?
“King Samir Shabazz says black people should create militias to exterminate whites, skin them alive, pour acid on them, sick pit bulls on them, bust their heads with rocks and even raid nurseries to ‘kill everything white in sight.’” (Judicial Watch). How exactly does this savage rhetoric differ from the ISIS operation?
Another Black Panther Shabazz, Malik Zulu, is now appearing in a suit on FOX News stating emphatically that he expects traffic to be blocked in Cleveland, tear gas to be deployed and arrests to be made. Of course he does. He and his “peaceful” colleagues have every intention of provoking violence.
This disruption of the election undoubtedly would happen whether Trump is running or not. The Republicans of 2008 and 2012 rattled no cages. 2016, however, is a different story, with the alphabet networks and grey old ladies of the press having fabricated a narrative that is encouraging violence – that Trump is a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, xenophobic narcissist who will return America to the backyard yesterday of Jim Crow, before we all became so – sensitive.
Conceding the narcissism charge, the volatile remainder is lies sewn of whole cloth but it is sufficiently inflammatory to leave little room for moral doubt in the mind of the next rioter, the next sniper, the next black victim with a truck and a crowd to plow into. Cops are now systematically targeted. A la ISIS, time to expand the killing field.
That, as of this writing, legally-held weapons will be allowed into the convention area is hard to accept. Even in the wild west, saloons – known for the excitability of their drinking clientele – typically required folks to check guns at the door. Allowing known Black Panther racists to carry arms, however constitutional, into a clearly volatile situation is at best irrational and at worst consciously begging for murder. Allowing a mass motorcycle rally of Trump supporters as well to carry arms into the situation makes confrontation nearly inevitable.
Trump’s rise is indeed a real threat – to those who cannot bear the thought of having to rely on one’s character, per Martin Luther King, as the basis for what matters in America.
