Elinor Koffler, founder of the toddler lifestyle brand Take Me Home, has launched a new and invigorating collection for the upcoming warm season. We sat down with her to explore the fashion houses that inspire her and whether she plans to expand the age range.

Koffler's latest collection, "To the moon and back," tailored for newborns to two-year-olds, offers unique items drawing inspiration from the worlds of fashion and design.

The collection's name, "To the moon and back," reflects Koffler's explanation to her children, like many parents, of how much she loves them - "to the moon and back." We caught up with her to understand where she draws inspiration and if she intends to expand the limited age range in the future.

Where does the inspiration for the collection come from?

"The inspiration for the current collection came, among other things, from the world of jewelry, specifically from the 'Rose Celeste' jewelry collection by Dior, which incorporates elements of the moon, sun, and stars. This jewelry collection is a tribute to Christian Dior's passion for astrology and seeking signs from fate through the stars.

For me, these symbols represent light, magic, and hope, always inspiring me greatly. The symbols of the moon, sun, and stars are naturally linked to the phrase I use to explain to my children, like many parents, how much I love them - 'to the moon and back.' This sentence symbolizes for me my endless love for them, and so I chose to name the new collection 'TO THE MOON AND BACK.'

In addition to star illustrations, there are also illustrations of boats and a lighthouse alongside the symbol of the floating globe associated with the Take Me Home brand. All of these illustrations create a delicate print."

What color palette is the collection based on?

"Like in previous colorful collections, the palette of items consists of soft and pleasant pastel shades, and it's not coincidental. I started the brand when I was pregnant with my first child, Gefen. Like any future mom, I was looking for the perfect items for my baby's first wardrobe. To my surprise, I didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for elegant, clean baby clothes made of soft and high-quality fabrics, without busy prints or cartoon characters. This experience ignited creativity in me, and thus the brand's first collection was born - items for babies, but designs for parents.

For me, parents are at the heart of the design process of the collections. Parents are my customers, so the design is dedicated to them and comes from more mature worlds."

Which fashion house inspires you and why?

"I appreciate many fashion houses worldwide, but I don't define TAKE ME HOME by the inspiration of a specific brand. I aspire a lot of inspiration from the worlds of fashion, especially from the realms of design and decor, areas that have fascinated me since childhood."

"In every collection I develop, I try to combine the beauty and art of different styles and bring them into the unique and magical world of TAKE ME HOME children. The collections are characterized by classic designs alongside maximum comfort, allowing babies to move and discover the world freely, as one of the things that is very important to me is that the clothing be practical and comfortable.

For example, last year's summer collection was inspired by the French toile de Jouy illustration style, and the safari collection released last winter was inspired by the works of Andrew Martin, a textile designer specializing in wallpapers, fabrics, and furniture details. There was also a horse collection inspired by the Ralph Lauren fashion house."

Do you plan to expand the age range in the future?

"Since I mainly design for parents, I tried to understand until what age the parent truly decides on the child's clothing, which happens mostly around the age of two. At this age, children begin to develop their own opinions and tastes. I can personally say that my youngest daughter, Ella (3), recently agreed to wear only clothes with unicorns on them. I allow her, both because it makes her happy and mainly because I choose my battles. Regarding the brand's expansion, with every collection I release, I think about how to innovate, and over the years, the brand's collections have expanded. Today, in addition to clothing, we also have accessories and textiles such as bamboo diapers, blankets, bedding, stroller bags, diaper bags, and more. My mind works around the clock; I don't rule anything out."

Koffler's brand was born in 2019 when Elinor became a mother for the first time, aiming to provide fresh parents with classic and well-designed clothes offering comfort and practicality down to the smallest details. Today, Koffler is a mother of two - Ella, three years old, and Gefen, five years old. Over the years, the brand's collections have expanded, now offering accessories and textiles, including bamboo diapers, blankets, bedding, stroller bags, diaper bags, and towels. All garments were designed to be comfortable not only for babies but also for parental use. The items are made of pleasant and comfortable fabrics, with quality stitching paying attention to the smallest details. The brand's items are available in about 80 Super-Pharm branches and online at Super-Pharm starting from NIS 41.90.
