Abbas sends representative to Cairo to meet with Egyptians

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas sent a representative to Cairo to speak with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit and other senior Egyptian officials for the first time since the resignation of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, Israel Radio reported on Thursday.

The PA representative, A-Tayyib Abd al-Raheem, said that the Palestinians support the Egyptian people, respect Mubarak's decision to resign and trust the Egyptian military to do the will of the people.
