Authorities continue examining hospitalized twins

Doctors at the Tel Hashomer Medical Center are continuing to examine twins brought to them last week with internal injuries, but have been unable to determine the cause for their condition so far.
The four-month-old twins, a baby boy and his sister, were rushed to hospital on Wednesday night with internal injuries.
Professor Gidi Porat, Director of Intensive Care at the Tel Hashomer
Medical Center, said that they have not ruled out the possibility that
the babies suffer from a genetic disease.
Media reports said doctors were also looking at the possibility of abuse, but police denied a criminal investigation was underway, and the parents vehemently denied the reports.
